  SN:   A term used to refer to time spent as a permanent 
        resident in the calculation of residence for      
        citizenship.  In the four-year period immediately 
        preceding the date the applicant applied for      
        citizenship the applicant is credited with 1 day  
        residence for each day he/she was resident in     
        Canada after landing. The residence requirement   
        can include LI and NI time.
