One-year window of opportunity provision

  SN:   The one-year window of opportunity is a regulatory
        mechanism designed to allow immediate family      
        members to reunite with a principal applicant     
        (PA).  To be processed as non-accompanying family 
        members, family members must have been identified 
        on the PA's permanent resident visa application   
        and must submit an application at a visa office   
        within one year of the date of arrival of the PA  
        in Canada.
