Announcement of settlement funding to help francophone newcomers settle in Ontario

The Government of Canada wants to help newcomers succeed. To help French-speaking newcomers settle in Ontario, the Government of Canada is committing more than $7.4 million to eight organizations in Ontario that provide settlement services in French.

The funding is provided under the Canada-Ontario Immigration Agreement (COIA). Listed below are the eight organizations receiving a portion of the $7.4  million in today’s announcement:

  • La Cité collégiale (Ottawa):  $2,405,294
  • Conseil des écoles publiques de l’est de l’Ontario  (Ottawa):  $1,002,603
  • Centre de santé communautaire Hamilton-Niagara:  $1,368,974
  • Association Canadienne-française de l’Ontario London Sarnia:  $200,771
  • L’Association française des municipalités de l’Ontario:  $214,881
  • Contact Interculturel Francophone de Sudbury:  $414,240
  • Passerelle Intégration et Dévelopment Économique (Toronto):  $299,812
  • Centre francophone de Toronto:  $1,720,174
