Modified, January 19, 2011 — In December 2009, Public Works and Government Services Canada awarded a new contract to Medavie Blue Cross for the administration of the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP). This replaces the contract with the current administrator, FAS Benefits Administrators Ltd. (FAS) and is effective January 17th, 2011.

FAS will continue to accept claims from providers until then. All claims after this date must be sent directly to Medavie Blue Cross for processing.

Health service providers, who wish to register with Medavie on or after January 17th, can also contact the Medavie Blue Cross Customer Information Centre at 1-888-614-1880 or visit Medavie’s website. Prior to January 17, they can email provider@medavie.bluecross.ca.
