What is RSS?

IRCC’s RSS feeds allow you to read through the updates you want, at your convenience.

By using the RSS reader of your choice or building the feed into your blog (or online personal journal), you can access the latest IRCC updates in your favourite environment.

Why use RSS?

  • RSS allows you to select the type of news and information you get from websites.
  • Once you download your news reader, you can customize it to go and fetch the news every five minutes, or every hour — it’s your choice.
  • Because you don’t have to subscribe to e-mail lists you have less risk of getting unsolicited (spam) e-mail.

How do I use RSS feeds?

To view RSS feeds on your computer, you will usually need to get an RSS Reader or an RSS Web module. To add a IRCC RSS feed, click on the orange button, copy the URL (site address) and paste it into your application. It’s simple!

Another way to view RSS feeds is to use a Web-based news reader.

Get IRCC RSS feed

Just click on the orange rss button, copy the URL from the address bar and then paste it in the proper field of your RSS Reader to instantly add IRCC updates to your reader.

How do I get a news reader?

There are many news readers available on the Web. Some can be downloaded for free; other programs cost money because they are more complex. Some readers will work better on different operating systems. You should think about these things when you choose your software.

More detailed instructions are included in the news reader software that you choose. When new items are added in certain sections of our web site, you will be alerted through a small pop-up window or other alert device.
