Strategic Outcomes and Program Alignment Architecture (in effect April 1, 2011)

Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s four strategic outcomes describe the long-term results that the Department’s programs are designed to achieve. The Department’s Program Alignment Architecture, following, provides an inventory of departmental programs, and describes their linkages to the four strategic outcomes. It also provides the foundation for financial and performance reporting to Parliament.

Migration of permanent and temporary residents that strengthens Canada’s economy

Family and humanitarian migration that reunites families and offers protection to the displaced and persecuted

Strategic Outcome 3

Newcomers and citizens participate to their full potential in fostering an integrated society

Managed migration that promotes Canadian interests and protects the health, safety and security of Canadians
