Quality assurance

Canadian immigration medical activities take place around the world and involve thousands of individuals. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is responsible for ensuring that immigration medical examinations meet certain standards and requirements wherever they are completed.

Find out more about how CIC monitors and evaluates DMP performance.

From time to time, regional medical officers will visit DMPs to evaluate immigration medical exam activities. In addition to the evaluation, the DMP might be asked to comment on and provide recommendations, advice and counsel about the medical exams to CIC.
