The Ties that Bind: With Canada’s National Dream Came the Chinese Immigrants
Created by the Foundation to Commemorate the Chinese Railroad Workers in Canada, The Ties that Bind presents the lives of Chinese immigrants recruited to Canada to complete the last phase of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Through an online exhibit, an educational kit and a short video, students will learn how the Chinese Head Tax and the Chinese Immigration Act affected the lives of the Chinese immigrants’ descendants.
