Can I apply to extend my work permit under this pilot?
Yes. You may get an extension if:
- your employer gets a new document from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (known as a Labour Market Opinion, or LMO) for your job, authorizing them to hire you,
- you both sign a new employer-employee contract, and
- you apply for your new work permit before your current work permit expires.
