Are you changing the criteria for the parent and grandparent category?
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has not decided this yet. The current parent and grandparent program gets more applicants than CIC can process. To address this, CIC is looking at ways to better manage wait times and the number of applications.
The decision to temporarily stop accepting new applications will prevent the backlog of applications from growing while Canada considers ways to make changes to the program.
