What if I cannot attend my first appointment for my citizenship exam? Can I reschedule it?

You do not have to contact the local Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office if you miss your first appointment or cannot go to it. If that happens, most CIC offices will automatically give you a second appointment. CIC will mail you a new Notice to Appear. It will confirm the new date and time for your exam. The timeframe for getting an appointment differs from one office to another.
