Do I need a temporary resident visa to study in Canada?
You may need one. Citizens of certain countries need a temporary resident visa to travel to Canada. It is a sticker the size of a passport page. It proves that an officer at a Canadian visa office read your application and was satisfied you were not inadmissible to Canada at the time of issuance. It is not a guarantee of admission to Canada. The final decision to permit your entry to Canada rests with the border services officer with the Canada Border Services Agency.
To find out whether you need one to visit Canada, see Countries and Territories Whose Citizens Require Visas to Enter Canada as Visitors.
