What are Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) service commitments?

Under its service commitments, CIC commits to do the following:

• explain clearly what you need to know and what you have to do,
• make decisions that are fair, reasonable and explained to you, with reference to the applicable laws,
• treat you with courtesy and respect,
• protect your personal information,
• publish processing times and
• respect service standards.

CIC developed the service commitments to provide you with quality services and programs.
