What happens if Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) doesn’t meet its specified standards?

CIC monitors its progress on meeting the service standards throughout the year. At the end of each year, it reports on its progress in the Departmental Performance Report. If CIC has not met a standard, it explains why. Then the department changes the way it does things and reviews the service standards, as necessary.
