When do I know if I passed the citizenship test?
- We do not contact you with the results of the test. If you pass the test, and meet other requirements for citizenship, we will send you a letter inviting you to a citizenship ceremony. You will usually receive this letter within six months after your exam. This letter will give the time, date and place of the ceremony.
- If you did not pass the test, you will be invited to an interview with a citizenship judge.
- The final requirement for citizenship is taking the oath of citizenship. Applicants 14 years of age and older must attend the ceremony and take the oath of citizenship to receive their citizenship certificate.
