What is a Visa Application Centre?
Visa application centres (VACs) are managed by private companies or international organizations. These organizations are contracted by CIC to give certain services to visa applicants. Some of the many benefits of a VAC are:
- They have convenient hours of service.
- Client service agents can serve you in the local language.
- Staff will help make sure your application is complete, and send your application securely to the visa office.
VACs do not make visa decisions and do not provide advice on visa applications. All visa applications are assessed and decided on by officers at Canadian immigration offices.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada is adding new VACs at various locations around the world to make it easier for you to submit your application, give your fingerprints and have your photograph taken.
