Will I have to pay more for my application because of biometric screening?

The visa and permit application fees will remain the same, but a new biometrics fee of $85 CAD per person, $170 CAD per family, and $255 CAD for group performing artists and their staff has been proposed by the Government of Canada. This would be in addition to the normal visa application fee. The Government of Canada has proposed that certain groups be exempt from paying the biometrics fee, such as participants in the Pan American Games when held in Canada.
