Who cannot use the Change of Address online service?

If you have recently immigrated to Canada, you must tell CIC of your new address in order to receive a Permanent Resident (PR) Card. In this case, the Change of Address online service will not be available to you and you must use the Address Notification online service.

Temporary Residents

If you are in Canada temporarily-as a worker, visitor or student-and you do not have an active permanent resident application, contact the Call Centre to notify them of a change of address.

People Living Outside Canada

If you are outside Canada, contact the Canadian visa office serving your region to change your address.
