What level of education do I need to apply as an immigrant investor?
The application period for the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Pilot Program is closed. The Department is not accepting applications at this time.
To apply as an immigrant investor, you must have a completed Canadian post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate of at least one year, or the foreign equivalent, as validated by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization.Footnote *
You must be able to show that you meet this requirement when you apply.

If you can demonstrate that you have a net worth of at least CDN $50 million that was legally obtained through business or investment activities, you can request an exemption from this requirement when you apply.
