Determine your eligibility–Quebec-selected skilled workers

Quebec-selected skilled workers must apply in two stages.

You must first apply to the Quebec government for a certificate of selection (Certificat de sélection du Québec). This is the official document that shows that the Government of Quebec has accepted you to that province. Visit the website of the Quebec ministry that handles immigration for more information on how to obtain a certificate.

Quebec-selected skilled workers are assessed according to Quebec’s own selection factors.

If you are applying from Haiti, find out about Quebec-Haiti Humanitarian Sponsorship.

After you have been selected by Quebec, you must make a separate application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent residence.

As part of the process, you will be required to have a medical exam from a physician on Canada’s list of Panel Physicians as well as police certificates checks. CIC requires these checks for all immigrants, regardless of where they intend to settle in Canada.
