If you applied on or after February 27, 2008, your application will be assessed for eligibility according to certain criteria. Find out more about the changes to the system.

If you applied before February 27, 2008, your application will not be affected by the new law. Your application will be processed according to the rules that were in effect when you applied.

If you don’t meet the criteria to apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, you may qualify under another category. There are many ways to immigrate to Canada, including joining a family member, investing or starting a business, studying or working temporarily, or through a provincial program.
