Visiting Canada — Applying for a temporary resident visa outside Canada (IMM 5256)

Where do I apply?

You must submit your application to the Canadian visa office responsible for your area, for processing. Consult the relevant visa office or its website regarding accepted methods of submitting applications (for example, general mail, in person, by courier, etc.).

Note: If you are from the United States, Greenland or St. Pierre and Miquelon, you can apply at a Canadian port of entry.
