Use this application if you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and you want to work temporarily in Canada. We will issue a work permit if we approve your application.

You may also need a temporary resident visa. Check the list of countries and territories whose citizens need a visa.

All applicants must fill out and sign their own form, including people travelling as part of a family. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign your form.

Many visa offices have specific instructions about which documents you must send with your application. Check the list of Canadian visa offices abroad to find the office that serves your country. You will find the procedures you must follow.

All applicants must include the fee. To find out how to pay, check with the Canadian visa office that serves your country.
