How are contracts enforced?
It is your responsibility to know the laws that apply to you and to look after your own interests.
The contract is a written agreement of the conditions of your employment. It will help to protect your rights as an employee. If there is a misunderstanding, use the contract when you talk to your employer.
If you need to complain about labour or employment standards, use the contract for information. Contact the government ministry responsible for labour or employment standards in the province or territory where you work if you have any questions, difficulties or complaints about your employment.
