The Visa office in Algiers only receives temporary resident applications and travel document requests for permanent residents returning to Canada. These applications are then sent to the Visa office in Paris where they are processed. - Enquiries

The NEW visa application centre (VAC) in Algiers opened on March 20, 2013. Applications that were submitted to the TLS VAC continue to be processed – there is NO NEED to contact the visa office. Any passports that are currently with the Canadian Embassy in Algiers will be returned to you by the Embassy who will be in contact with you.
