How to obtain a police certificate - Chile
Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes.
How and where do I obtain one?
Residents of Chile
You, and your dependants who are 18 years of age or older, should apply in person at your local civil registry office for the following two documents:
- a Certificado de Antecedentes para Fines Especiales, and
- an original Hoja de vida del Conductor, even if you or your dependants have never been issued a driver’s licence.
If you, or your dependants who are 18 years of age or over, served in the military, please provide, on a separate piece of paper, detailed information on:
- dates of service
- rank
- unit
- responsibilities
- location of service
Non-Residents
Applicants may apply for a Certificado de Antecedentes para Fines Especiales and an original Hoja de vida del Conductor at the Chilean embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
Please note that there is a fee for this service.
