Local Requests
Applicants should apply for a Certificado de Antecedentes at the Policía Nacional, Departamento de Identificaciones in Asuncion in person or through a representative authorized in writing to act on the applicant’s behalf. Applicants must present their Cedula de Identidad document.

Non-Resident Requests
Applicants should apply through the Paraguayan embassy or consulate. Alternatively, applicants may fax or mail a copy of their cedula and a written authorization to a close relative(their father, mother, son, daughter or spouse) to apply on their behalf.
