How to obtain a police certificate

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?

Yes, all applicants aged 18 or older must provide a police certificate.

If you live in Turkmenistan:

Apply at one of these organizations:

• Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 744000, Magtymguly Avenue, 83, Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan.
• Ministry of Interior: 744000, Magtymguly Street, 85, Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan

If you live outside Turkmenistan:

Apply to the nearest Turkmenistan Embassy with a copy of the passport and details on when and where that person lived before in Turkmenistan.
