How to Get a Police Certificate – Ukraine

If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

How to get a Police Certificate:

If you are a citizen of Ukraine:

If you live in Ukraine:

You can:

  • apply in person at your local police office (Rayonne Viddilennya) in the region of your residence permit (Propyska)
  • provide notarized authorization to a representative to apply on your behalf to the local police office (Rayonne Viddilennya) in the region of your residence permit (Propyska)
  • apply at the centralized office in Kyiv (see Special notes and considerations for complete address)

If you live outside of Ukraine:

You can:

  • apply in person at your nearest Embassy of Ukraine
  • provide notarized authorization (Doruchennya) to a representative to apply to the regional militia office or centralized office in Kyiv (see Special notes and considerations for complete address) on your behalf
