The annual Racism. Stop It! National Video Competition of Citizenship and Immigration Canada is a fun way for youth to express their feelings about eliminating racism though video.

The contest invites young Canadians between the ages of 12 and 20 to create a video between 45 and 60 seconds in length that could win them an exciting prize.

Encourage young people to participate

Here are some of the ways you can promote the Racism. Stop It! National Video Competition and encourage young people in your community to take part:

  • Prominently display the Racism. Stop It! National Video Competition poster.
  • Make the brochure and entry form available to young people, parents, educators, coaches, counsellors, group leaders, etc.
  • Promote the Racism. Stop It! National Video Competition in your newsletter.
  • Incorporate the Racism. Stop It! National Video Competition into community centre events, such as fairs.
  • Create a Racism. Stop It! National Video Competition bulletin board where you can post contest information. Don’t forget to ask them to have their parent/guardian sign the participant’s entry form to be eligible to enter the contest.
