4.0 FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This section of the report presents the results of the review of HPM and provides recommendations to enhance the HPM operation.

From the beginning of Business Process Renewal, HPM was a general expression used to cover all receipts and deposit activities at CIC. It was envisioned that there would be four distinct but ultimately interdependent phases of HPM: the domestic mail-in process, domestic over-the-counter process, international over-the counter process and international mail-in process. However, HPM has only been implemented for the domestic mail-in process, which is the focus of this review.
