1.0 Audit Objectives, Scope and Methodology
1.1 Objectives
The objectives of this audit were as follows:
1. determine what action had been taken on the recommendations made in the 1996 Tassé report; and
2. determine whether there is a control framework for the operational control issues reviewed in the 1996 Tassé report, which relate to
- security and accountability of immigration key control forms,
- handling of public money (cost recovery) and
- uniforms, port stamps and badges.
