  • Mandate: Senior decision-making forum for the Department
  • Membership: Deputy Minister (Chair), DM’s Chief of Staff, ADMs and Associate ADMs, Senior General Counsel, ADM CFO and Departmental Secretary
  • Authority: Senior decision making
  • Comments: Recent focus on CMSC, and funding allocations
Departmental Management Committee (DMC)
  • Mandate: Share information and facilitate coordination and alignment
  • Membership: Deputy Minister (Chair), ADMs, Associate ADMs, Departmental Secretary, Senior General Counsel, ADM CFO, DGs (NHQ and regions) and Office of Conflict Resolution
  • Authority: Information sharing

Tier 2

Contribution Management Steering Committee
  • Mandate: Forum to provide corporate direction and guidance on issues and ensure appropriate accountability for management of Department’s contribution programs
    Membership: Associate ADM, Operations and ADM CFO (Co-chairs). 5 NHQ DGs, 2 Regional DGs and Co-chairs of SRMC
  • Authority: Provide corporate direction and guidance
  • Comments: Recent focus on Performance Measurement Strategy, dashboard reporting, approval of SRMC work-plan, etc.

Other internal committees that have influence:

  • Client Services Committee, Management Accountability Committee, Budget Committee, Information Management Steering Committee

Tier 3

Settlement and Resettlement Management Committee

  • Mandate: (draft) Provide oversight and ensure consistent functional guidance in the implementation of CIC’s settlement and resettlement programs. Forum for discussion and resolution of strategic operational settlement and resettlement issues
  • Membership: Co-chaired by Director, Integration and Resettlement Delivery Division, NHQ and Director, Settlement and Intergovernmental Affairs, Ontario Region. Includes director-level representatives  from regions as well as Integration Branch, Refugee Branch, Research and Evaluation Branch  and certain other NHQ functional areas
  • Authority: National operational policies and procedures for settlement and resettlement programs, training strategies, communication protocols of successful practices and to support consistent program delivery.
  • Comments: Recent focus on Performance Measurement Strategy, dashboard reporting, spending, etc.
