Final Audit Report
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Corporate Review Audit Team conducted an audit of the immigration program, at the Canadian Embassy in Vienna (the Vienna Mission), during the period December 4-15, 2000. The audit was intended to assess the immigration program’s operations in accordance with the objectives and scope noted below, as well as to test the draft Audit Guide for Overseas Programs developed earlier in the year as a standard audit program for future mission audits.
The Vienna Mission is a Regional Program Centre. This audit did not include visits to the satellite offices. The operational relationship with and cost recovery implications of satellites were reviewed. This report contains audit findings and recommendations for improvement. Any recommended changes to the Audit Guide as a result of this exercise will be reported separately.
