Checking if the applicant has permanent resident status
This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by IRCC staff. It is posted on the department’s website as a courtesy to stakeholders.
Proof of landing from Immigration
Applicants requiring proof of permanent resident status for citizenship must deal directly with Immigration. There is usually a fee for a replacement of proof of permanent resident status.
The applicant does not have their permanent resident documents
The applicant may have lost or misplaced their permanent resident documents. If the applicant requires proof of permanent resident status (e.g., for a pension application), the applicant needs to contact the Operations Support Centre to obtain their information.
