Caring for children and caring for people with high medical needs classes: Application process and who can apply

Who can apply

Those eligible to apply are foreign nationals who have the ability to become economically established in Canada, intend to reside in a province other than Quebec, and meet all of the following pass or fail criteria:

Submitting an application

All applications for permanent residence under the caring for children and caring for people with high medical needs classes must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre in Edmonton, Alberta (CPC-E).

Eligibility for processing

A maximum of 2750 complete applications will be processed per year in each class as authorized by Ministerial Instructions. Applications must be submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in R10 and in the application kit to be considered complete and eligible for processing.
