Update to the instructions for consular missions outside Canada accepting translated documents for proof of citizenship, renunciation of citizenship and search of citizenship records applications

Summary

The instructions regarding the procedure for consular missions outside Canada to accept translations have been edited and improved to make the procedural information clearer; no new information was added. The instructions now correctly state that all documents submitted by an applicant for proof of citizenship (citizenship certificate), renunciation of citizenship and search of records applications that are in a foreign language must be translated by a certified translator into either English or French. The applicant must provide Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada with both the document in the foreign language and the translated document.
