Quick Start Guide for Designated Institutional Representatives and Signatories: How to access the Electronic Notification System

Step 1 – Obtain a PIN

A PIN is required to enrol in the Partner Portal. To obtain a PIN, please follow the steps below:

1. If you are a new designated institutional representative (DIR):

Contact your provincial or territorial representative to obtain:

  • The Off-Campus Work Permit Program Institution Identification (IMM 5592) form; and
  • The Acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions of the Partner Portal and the Electronic Notification System (ENS) form.

Complete and sign both forms and send them to the address below.

Note: you will receive your PIN by registered mail.

2. If you are a new signatory:

Contact your DIR to obtain:

  • The Acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions of the Partner Portal and the Electronic Notification System (ENS) form.

Complete and sign the form and send it to the address below.

Note: your DIR will issue you your PIN.

Step 2 – Register with Access Key Canada

An Access Key is an electronic record that allows access to the Government of Canada’s online services.

To register with Access Key:

  • Visit “Access the Partner Portal”.
  • Create your Access Key account by clicking on “Register” and follow the instructions.

Step 3 – Enrol in the Partner Portal

After registering with Access Key, you will be presented with a short series of questions before being brought to the enrolment page of the Partner Portal. Please enter your given name, family name and PIN to enrol in the Partner Portal.

  • Your PIN will expire 45 days after it has been issued.

Access Your Welcome Page

  • Review your institution’s information.
  • Enter an e-mail address to receive notifications.
  • DIRs can manage institution access.
  • Access the Electronic Notification System (ENS) and Compliance Reporting Tool.
