Citizens of certain countries and territories have to give their biometrics (fingerprints and photo) when they apply for a visitor visa, a study or work permit, or for permanent residence.
The biometrics fee covers the cost of collecting fingerprints and a digital photo. If your children qualify as dependants, pay the family fee.

Pay and apply at a VAC (temporary residence applications only)
You can pay at the Visa Application Centre (VAC) you file your application with. VACs charge a fee for services that help you apply.

- be sure your application is complete and is sent to the correct visa office.
