You must make an online appointment before you go to an ASC.

Make an appointment

Go to the appointment scheduling system.
On the “Appointment Scheduler” page, select your language on the left side of the page, then select “Make an appointment” on the right side.
In the next window, “Find a USCIS Application Support Center within the U.S.”:
- enter your ZIP code in the search box or select your state, and
- click “Find Office” to find the closest ASC.
Select an ASC.
Select “See available appointments” for the location.
Select a date for your appointment. If no date is available, choose another location or check back later.
- You need to give your biometrics within 30 days of the date in your biometrics instruction letter
Select a time for your appointment.
In the box asking for your IRCC number, enter the number in your biometrics instructions letter.
Review and update your information as needed and confirm your appointment.
You will see a receipt listing:
- your IRCC number
- date, time, and location of your appointment
You may print the receipt.
At the scheduled date and time, go to the ASC office to give your biometrics. You must present your:
- biometrics instruction letter; and
- passport or travel document.

Change, cancel or check an ASC appointment

There is no fee for cancelling or missing your appointment. You can change or cancel your appointment any time before or on the day of your scheduled date:

Go to the appointment scheduling system.
Select “Find Your Appointment”.
Enter the IRCC number in your biometrics instruction letter to find your appointment.
Your appointment information will be on the “Manage your appointment” page.
You can check your appointment or print it from this page.
To reschedule your appointment, click the “Reschedule appointment” link (to the right of the “Print” button)
- Your new date must be within 30 days of the date in your letter
To cancel your appointment, click the “Cancel appointment” link (to the right of “Reschedule appointment link)

If you cancel your appointment 3 times, you can’t reschedule unless you contact the IRCC office that sent your letter.

The office will tell you what to do next.

If you receive a new biometrics instruction letter, use the new IRCC number in the letter to reschedule your appointment.
If you don’t receive a letter, the office will give you instructions.
